CASE: SAGGING LIFE


S: John is 37 years old. He sneezed and then sagged out of his chair and slid to the floor while attending a workshop. He is unable to remember his wife’s name, where he was, or recognize people he knew all around him. 

O: Blood pressure 160/90. Pulse 88. Breathing unlabored. Spontaneous eye opening. Pupils equal and reactive. Normal heart sounds. Patient unable to move his left leg at all. During Babinski test, the big toe arched away from the pin used to slick up the bottom of his foot. Toes fanned out as well.
